The latest installation in the Smallest Gallery in Soho is (K)now from San Francisco-based artist Strider Patton. The piece is a divided room; one side is sterile white and the other is a riot of pattern and colour, with ribbons from the ceiling interacting in both spaces. Through this work, Patton is trying to remind us that all barriers are perceived, that the ‘other’ isn’t so different and we all share humanity.
