Chef Joo Won (ex-Galvin at Windows) is popping up at Chinatown’s Bun House for two months. Joo, along with his wife and pastry chef Sujin, will be taking over the top floor of the restaurant with a menu of South Korean and European-inspired sharing plates. You can expect the likes of lightly cured grey mullet in a sesame, chilli & plum soy sauce; kimchi & cheddar risotto with poached egg & seaweed crisp; Joo’s fried chicken with a gochujang, ginger, honey & apple sauce; flat iron beel bulgogi with chicory & pickled mooli; slow cooked lamb breast in a pear & soy sauce with steamed veggies & rice; raspberry, cream & peach pavlova; and dark chocolate cremeaux with yuzu marmalade, hoji tea & toasted grain cream.
