Gro Spiseri is a brilliant urban rooftop farm and restaurant. During the summer you can sit outside amongst the rows of vegetables with a wine or beer in hand, looking out across the city. And at any time of year you can come for lunch or dinner in the cosy greenhouse-style restaurant, which serves seasonal dishes using veg grown on the roof or sourced from small scale farmers and fisherman. The menu changes regularly but typical dishes include panelle accompanied by confit leeks, vibrant “romesco” sauce, fermented pumpkin, and the choice of pickled mussels & crispy fried seaweed; and monkfish, with grilled pear, fresh kale, parsnips, and a shore crab sauce.
