Godet

After finding success with Binch in London Fields, owner Sylvain Bertozzi opened Godet, named after French slang for ‘a glass’ on Essex Road in 2024. The wine pub has interesting residents in the kitchen (currently Ling Ling’s), a rotating selection of nine craft beer taps, including the likes of Lost and Grounded Keller Pils and Kernel’s Table Beer, and a regularly evolving wine list that showcases French wines plus bottles from across Europe. As well as the well-curated bottle list, there’s always a handful of sparkling, reds, whites and oranges available by the glass, making it easy for you to try different styles and producers. As well as hosting ‘meet the winemaker’ events, Godet also has DJs come and spin vinyl-only sets on Fridays and Saturdays.
