Sport meets design at the major new exhibition at the Design Museum. Football: Designing the Beautiful Game explores the ways that design has impacted the world’s most popular sport, from the planning that goes into the stadiums to the badge, kit and boot designs to the way fans engage with football through tournaments, TV and gaming. Over 100 historical objects will be on display, including jerseys worn by Pele and Maradona, boots worn by Geoff Hurst and early Subbuteo games, alongside contemporary pieces and projects from the likes of Nike, adidas, Umbro, and Zaha Hadid Architects. It’s a must-see for any footy fan.
