Funfairs are no longer just for summer, or for kids, because Fairgame is here with a whole load of fairground games that have been rebooted for grown-ups. Originally launched in Canary Wharf, there’s now a new 24,000 sq ft site in the City, opposite St Paul’s, so there’s even more carnival games to go around. In Canary Wharf, you can have a go at their version of whack-a-mole Gopher Broke, take aim in duck shooting game Phoeny Island, and dunk basketballs in Alley Hoop. In the City, take on the largest hook-a-duck ever in Beaky Finders, test your reaction speeds with Joy Ride, catch as many bees as you can with Havoc in the Hive and more. Plus, with their dedicated app and electronic wristbands, you can keep track of everyone’s scores and see which of your friends comes out on top. Of course, no fairground is complete without food and drink and there are some crowd-pleasers on offer, with Burger&Beyond, Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana, Le Bab and Alby’s Pizza dishing up the goods, and bars pouring cocktails and craft beers.
