With its Juilo Le Parc: Light. Colour. Action. exhibition, Tate Modern is taking visitors on a journey through the artist’s 70-year career. The show will feature over 60 works, including interactive installations, light sculptures, and geometric abstract paintings. Le Parc’s mission has always been to activate the viewer and make them understand how they can bring art to life, which he does through the use of optical effects and sensory experiences. From his early Surfaces series, made in Paris in the late 50s, to his kinetic sculptures to his canvases and works on paper, the exhibition will chart his experimental approach to colour combinations and visual effects.
