You couldn’t open the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration and not showcase some of his work now could you? With Quentin Blake: Performance, the new venue is exploring Blake’s theatrical influences and collaborations in what is a UK-first retrospective of his work through theatre. Over 100 original works will be on display, including depictions of Laurence Olivier in The Entertainer, illustrations of playwrights, and illustrations of Macbeth characters as birds, showing how he’s captured the spirit of performers.
