After a run at the Theatre Royal Stratford East and a national tour, Ned Bennett’s version of Peter Shaffer’s Equus is transferring to Trafalgar Studios for a limited run. The dark play, which follows psychiatrist Dr Martin Dysart as he delves into the warped world of Alan Strang as he tries work out why he mutilated six horses, is an exploration of what it means to be normal and what drives people to do the things they do. Sunshine and rainbows this is not, so be prepared for some shocks.
