Located upstairs from Eleven Madison Park, one of New York’s (and the world’s) best restaurants, Clemente Bar is a great way to get to get a taste of chef Daniel Humm’s cooking without splurging on EMP. The bar is beautiful, channelling big 60s Mad Men energy with its decorated wooden panels, artworks from artists Franceso Clemente, low slung sofas, and soft lighting. Creative cocktails include the likes of La Tomantina – Mijenta Blanco Tequila, Olive Sake, Shio Koji Tomato Water, Amazake – while on the all vegan food menu, there’s lemon pepper fried maitake mushrooms. and even a tofu hot dog topped with truffle.
