Like Mayfair restaurant Tendril? There’s even more to love at chef Rishim Sachdeva’s second spot, Café Petiole, a (mostly) vegan café at Somerset House. Perfect for a post-exhibition bite, the café offers a light and healthy menu, available for both dine-in-ers and grab-and-go-ers. Savoury options include grilled aubergine sabich with tabbouleh and mustard mushroom with daikon pickle bun, both of which pack a flavourful punch. For anyone with a sweet tooth, Tendril’s head pastry chef Tarryn Williams has dessert sorted – the pastry menu features toasted banana bread with agave, freshly baked cannelés, and the much-loved Tendril tiramisu. There’s also coffee, kombucha, and carefully sourced low-intervention European wines on tap to refuel with after a morning at the exhibitions.
