Following the closure of The Dairy in Clapham in 2020, Robin Gill relocated the restaurant to Bermondsey (and changed the name), taking up a spot inside the Bermonds Locke Hotel. And now the team have opened a brand new terrace out the back to make the most of the summer sun – you really do catch the rays out here but they’ve got big parasols on hand to add some shade. The food menu is packed with seasonal delights, including fried courgette flower with pollock brandade, cheese rind mousse with pickled Tropea onions, friggitelli peppers with paprika mayo & grapes, barbecued grezzina courgette with toasted yeast, Old Spot pork with peach & BBQ kohlrabi, and super refreshing grapefruit sorbet with Campari & olive oil. There are plenty of chilled drinks on hand too and the staff are more than happy to offer recs on softies that aren’t on the menu, so do ask if there’s something you’ve got in mind.
