24TH APRIL 2014
G&T in hand? Yes! Disco ball? Yes! Good music? Yes! Now we know why Thursday night at The Lexington is called JaJaJa. The provider of good music comes in the form of Finnish singer/songwriter Suvi, who does soulful pop music at its best, and with a feel echoing the likes of Peter Gabriel and Bjork, she didn’t disappoint.
She’s cute and tiny like a proper pop star too, although her voice is anything but, it’s sexy and we’re pretty sure she knows it judging by a cheeky flash of some racy little under garms that would make even Edina and Patsy blush! Not that we let that distract us from the music.
Stockholm based Suvi first raised eyebrows in 2013 with her debut ‘Bleeding For Your Love’, which she followed up earlier this month with latest release ‘Find You’, seeing a definite progression to the atmospheric and orchestral feel to her sound, and both tracks sounded just as good in the flesh
You can catch Suvi at this year’s Great Escape in Brighton next month.
