final show of a four week residency from indie cool kids FURS came to a close at Stoke Newington’s The Waiting Room last night. Having successfully packed out the basement venue each week, with reports of some folk being turned away, the final evening saw the band on good form.

The immediacy of the pop hooks throughout the set is impressive, as they combine elements of psychedelia and surf throwing chants of Doo wop in new track ‘Going Nowhere’. Collectively the band hold a striking image and with tracks like ‘In The Eye Of The Vicious’ and our live fave ‘Just Kids’ they are bound to be trekking the hills of LA burning dollar dills and blowing epic pink bubblegum bubbles in some sort of outrageous music video soon.

Skilfully modelling the sexy new FURS Tees, front woman Danielle stole the show center stage with her 60’s esque sweet soulful vocals. We are so getting one of those Tee’s. With their debut album due to drop later this year, an immanent new single, video and a tour with Gaz Coombes next month FURS are hotter than papa bears porridge. We love FURS!
