HACKNEY
04TH SEPTEMBER 2014

Our ears are still ringing from Esben and The Witch’s gig at Oslo, that’s the venue in Hackney, though we’d probably travel to Norway to see them too. From the first wave of reverb filled guitars through to the last crash of drums, EATW have an onstage presence that’s so uniquely compelling, the roof could have caved in and you’d not have noticed.

Each member of the Brighton trio share musical responsibilities and spotlight duties allowing a truely haunting spectrum of noise to be produced and who doesn’t love a good spectrum? The only criticism is that it had to end, WHY MUST WE GO BACK TO OUR NOW BORING BY COMPARRISON LIVES?! Oh well, at least their new album A New Nature is finally out, yaaaaay!
