APRIL 2015

Off the back of their European Soul album release and kicking off their European tour, we saw Citizens! strut their well-dressed stuff at XOYO. The four Kitsuné pals played to a packed out sold out venue supported by the awesome Zibra. Tottenham based youngsters Zibra started out with their electro-indie synth greatness with a cover of Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay. They really grew on us with their homemade synths and despite the dark and edgy rock exterior their tunes made us smile and bop.

With some awesome deck spinning from Two Door Cinema Club and the venue becoming filled to the bar with all age groups, the crowd pushed foreword with excitement for Citizens! Another London four piece worked the stage with new classics Waiting for Your Lover, Lighten Up and True Romance from albums European Soul and Here We Are. Lead singer Tom’s offbeat dancing and movement works with the tunes and provided some entertainment capturing the crowd throughout the hour long set including encore and outfit change!
