2013 came for all us Brits in the middle of a heat wave as we descended onto the Spanish shores. Four days of music with some of the worlds hottest acts. We went along to the festival, which is in it’s 19th year to enjoy the sun, the sea and muchos rock n roll.So who were our highlights? We’ll given the festival is small you can walk round it in pretty much 20 minutes, which is a blessing considering walking in the heat is difficult enough, you can see an awful lot of bands, split sets, the lot. As the sun begins to draw back into the sky the feedback erupts and amps begin to rumble…its time for some good old fashioned rock n roll. The first band for us was Kettering’s Temples with their psychedelic sounds, trippy Beatles-esque melodies and guitar lines. One of the biggest and enthusiastic crowds were for Brummies Swim Deep with the kids down with the words and moshing about.
Queens of the Stone Age rocked the stage playing much from their awesome new album ‘…like clockwork’ and we managed to blag our way stage side for Primal Scream staying there until holding the pee in was unbearable, but Bobby rocked our socks off! Here’s some more of our festival highlights in the form of a video including Splashh, Palma Violets, Beach House, Jake Bugg, Beady Eye and the band of the festival the mighty Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
We made this video with the new features of the HTC One android phone with Beats Audio technology which we feature here.
