there’s like, what, 90 people here? What the fuck! Alex Winston is geat! And her tracks have been onTV adverts and everything! People should be all over her by now? They flock to see pop acts, singing  over a backing tape, and here she is in XOYO, backed by seven other musicians – including two backing singers – pouring her heart out.

It’s a big, full, life affirming sound, and her music veers between pop-y, soul-y and yet remains cool and ‘indie’ and wouldn’t get farted outta the top 40. Did I mention she’s super sexy, writes all her own songs and has even supported Chuck Berry and Ted Nugent on tour? And people still go out and buy Jessie J albums? Purr-lease. Can we grow up a bit? No wonder she looks a little disheartened at times on stage.
