Damian Monley, the man behind one of Sydney’s most popular spots Flat White Cafe, is coming to London, opening LIV in Belgravia. As you’d expect from the name, coffee will be a big focus, with speciality brews, including a single-roast from a 100-year-old Neapolitan supplier and guest roasts from Alchemy and Origin, on offer.
With dinner service coming later in the year, LIV will serve up breakfast dishes like chai-spiced oats with amaranth, bananas and pecans; king prawn omelette with Asian slaw; and ricotta hotcakes with cinnamon butter and berries. The lunch menu will be similarly eclectic with rainbow bowls, crispy pork sandwiches, Thai coconut chicken salads and 17-hour wagyu briskets on offer.
