LINA STORES TO OPEN IN THE CITY

It was only just revealed that fresh pasta restaurant and Italian deli Lina Stores was planning a move to Clapham but the restaurant group also have a spot in the City underway. Just like in Clapham (where they’re opening where The Dairy and Counter Culture used to be) Lina Stores is taking over the site of another pandemic casualty – Andrew Wong’s restaurant Kym’s in Bloomberg Arcade.

The original outpost of Lina Stores – the deli on Brewer Street – opened in 1944 and only started expanding in the last five years, opening a pasta restaurant around the corner on Greek Street in 2018 and then another in King’s Cross in 2019. The menu for the City site will include antipasti made from their deli produce, like tonno tonnato, chicken liver & crispy sage bruschette, and friarielli & bruschette chilli, as well as pasta dishes like truffle tagliolini, pumpkin agnolotti with butter sage & hazelnuts, and mafaldine alla carbonara. You’ll also be able to get larger sharing plates such as lamb shoulder with salsa verde & a green salad dressed with a Tropea onion dressing and grilled prawns with garlic, chilli & tomato. Naturally the (biodynamic and organic) wine list will be all-Italian with classic Lina Stores cocktails also on the drinks menu. Salute.

Opens Fri 15th October 2021
