We’re not normally fans of the long, dark winter nights except when light festivals come to town and Crystal Palace Park is getting in on the action by playing host to Lightopia once again. Coming back bigger and better for this year, the fest’s ‘Magic of Christmas’ display will include a light dragon who breathes ‘fire’; a magical forest filled with mythical winged creatures; a spooky haunted road; and a Christmas installation featuring giant snowmen, baubles and sugar canes.
In a first for Lightopia London, this year’s event will also include an illuminated 40-metre wide and 15-metre tall water show, with Santa, Rudolph, Christmas trees and snowflakes being projected over the park’s lower lake. If you’re looking to get in the Christmas spirit, this’ll do the trick.
