LIGHTOPIA FESTIVAL IS COMING TO LONDON

We’re not normally fans of the long, dark winter nights except when light festivals come to town….there’s one in Battersea, one in Canary Wharf and now Chiswick House & Gardens is getting in on the action by playing host to Lightopia.

The fest is being run by the same team behind the Magical Lantern Festival so expect lots of lanterns as well as a ten-metre tall tree of light sculpture, which changes colour according to patterns created by 20 surrounding drums; an 18-metre high peacock that synchronises with music; a field of 70,000 flickering roses; illuminated honeycomb arches surrounded by glowing bees; and a rainbow tunnel. Chiswick House is even becoming an installation thanks to 3D mapping projected onto the building’s exterior.
