It’s getting LIT at Battersea Power Station with the return of the annual free light festival
If we’ve gotta endure long dark nights then we might as well have something pretty to look at right? Battersea Power Station is delivering on that front with the return of its free light festival. There’ll be seven artworks from a mix of British and international artists on display both outside and inside the Power Station, with two of the installations being shown in the capital for the first time and three making their UK debut.
The pieces on show during the festival include LightPiano by Arion de Munck and Mark Ridder, where you can play with both music and light; the light-based cycling competition Lightbattle III by Venividimultiplex; and the sparkling Large Diamond by Freerk Wilbers. There’ll also be weeknight performances on the LightPiano, special ‘glow shows’ from LED performers and silent discos to enjoy during the festival too. And with all the restaurants and cafes open at the Power Station, including those at Arcade Food Hall and the newest branch of Dishoom, you’ll have plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat.
