Back in 2018 we brought you the news The Libertines were opening a hotel and studio in Margate and now The Albion Rooms is almost ready to welcome guests. The five-storey Victorian building overlooking the sea has seven bedrooms, all individually decorated with vintage elements, Apple Beats sound systems and references to the band.
As well as a restaurant overseen by Joe Hill (who’s worked for the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Tom Aikens), The Albion Rooms is also home to the Arcady Coffee House, serving brunch in the day and cocktails at night, and The Waste Land bar, which serves a burger menu as well as hosting poetry, music, comedy and life drawing sessions. There’s also a recording studio on site so you never know who you might bump into into if you stay the night.
Opens Fri 25th September 2020
