ones to to conform to expectation, Liars are back with a new album next year – and they’ve got us guessing at how they’ll hit us. Morphing from arch noise-merchants to dancefloor-fillers over the past thirteen years, the trio have let loose a series of multicoloured teaser trailers for the new release.

Frontman Angus Andrew has described the new material’s ethos as “No rules. No mistakes”, which sounds a lot like fun to us. The as-yet-untitled album will be available in March 2014 via Mute, and if you’d like a reminder of the dance-punk epics the band can produce, look no further than the special mix of ‘Mr Your On Fire Mr’ for Saint Laurent S/S 14 below – it’s as angular as a supermodel’s cheekbones.
