For those who haven’t seen any of the Magic Mike films, they are cheesy rom-coms with hunk Channing Tatum on his journey to becoming a male stripper
Taking inspo from these is the Magic Mike Live show in London, which is directed and choreographed by Channing himself. Held at the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square, the popular over-18 show combines 90 minutes of dancing, acrobats and comedy.
The cast, with their chiselled bodies, are sure to put on quite a show – if you’re lucky enough to be chosen, you might even get a dance for yourself. Although it’s worth noting it’s not all lap dances and slow stripping, some of the acts are so acrobatic they will leave you speechless. They have also recently launched their new bar Permission outside the theatre, which is the perfect spot for pre- or post-show tipples, nibbles and live music.
Whilst we can’t guarantee Mr Tatum will be there on stage, some performers in the show have been in the Magic Mike films themselves, and there’s no wonder when you see them live in action. MML is funny, a little bit cringe at times and ideal if you’re on a hen do, celebrating a birthday or simply looking to let your hair down with your friends.
