LEEDS-BASED DOH’HUT IS LAUNCHING A SITE IN LONDON

The doughnut specialists are coming down south to make their London debut this month

London loves doughnuts and, luckily for us, there’s no shortage of doughnut spots here in the city – but that’s not to say we won’t welcome another. Launching later this month, Doh’hut is about to become the newest fried dough slingers in town, making a move to the capital after having already taken Leeds by storm.

Doh’hut has been around since 2016, running out of a food truck and as they raked in accolades. They launched their first bricks and mortar site on Trevelyan Square in Leeds in 2020, and now they’re getting ready to open a second in Exmouth Market. The new, postage stamp-sized spot will function as a takeaway only, serving up a menu of handmade sugar doughnuts filled with the likes of raspberry jam, vanilla crème pâtissière and chocolate ganache.

Doh’hut’s USP is their classic Britsh sugar doughnuts (mostly found mass-produced in your local supermarket) made with attention to detail and to a high standard. They’re feeling confident in the success of the London outpost, with up to five further sites planned to open in the city before the year is up. And that’s not all, they’re also expecting to expand throughout the UK with up to 50 sites over the next five years – this might be the dawning of a new, doughnut-y era.

Opens February 2023
