Refugee employment charity Breaking Barriers has teamed up with renowned photographer Rankin for new online exhibition Leave Home, Save Lives. It features seven people from refugee backgrounds who all have jobs as key workers in the UK, including as a Covid tester, a care home assistant and a community public health nurse. Using the rainbow colours as background, Rankin has photographed each individual with accompanying text that details their stories developed by Zozan Yasar from the Refugee Journalism Project. It’s a powerful tribute to these individuals and to all the refugees that leave their homes to come here and work in frontline services.
