LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN RECYCLED JEWELLERY WHILE SUPPORTING A GOOD CAUSE

Pivot, an award-winning social enterprise that helps those experiencing homelessness, is hosting a one-off workshop at Second Home Spitalfields this April where you’ll get to make your own, low-waste earrings. Making both an environmental and social difference, Pivot’s on a mission to bring purpose and flexible employment to people who may not otherwise have access to it through their work with hostels – and that work centres around sustainable principles.

Through their 12-week programme, the Pivot team provides creative training to people living in UK hostels by guiding them through how to design, market and sell jewellery. They provide coaching and financial support to boost participants’ confidence and help them to find meaningful employment to ultimately transition out of temporary employment.

On 27th April, the Pivot team will host a workshop on making acetate earrings made with excess materials from eyewear brand Cubitts. During the two hours, you’ll learn how to cut, shape, mould and polish acetate. Plus, there’ll be pre-made pieces for sale at 20% off and all profits from this event will be reinvested into Pivot’s social mission. There’ll be fully recyclable canned spritz cocktails, made with award-winning spirits, from MOTH to sip on whilst you craft, and you’ll also be able to bag a 20% discount on MOTH so you can enjoy more cocktail cans at home too. Earring enthusiasts, don’t miss this one.

This is a private event for LOTI INSIDERS and Second Home members, and you lot get an extra 20% off tickets too – find out how to claim that and book below.
