Make (and eat) your own dumplings at this exclusive event
Calling all dumpling fans! Sisters Trishna and Dipa Chamling have brought authentic Nepalese steamed dumplings, aka momo, to London with Eat Momo. The Borough Yards canteen serves juicy momo with fillings inspired by regional recipes from across the country, such as pork, ginger and onion; chicken, garam masala and coriander; and paneer, seasonal greens and carrot, alongside traditional accompaniments of spicy chilli pickle and tomato chutney.
And now you can learn exactly how to make momo properly at this exclusive Eat Momo masterclass led by the kitchen’s momo chefs, where you’ll make your own dough, fill the momo and plait them into two different shapes. Then comes the all-important tasting as the team will steam your momo and you’ll get to eat them alongside a side of alau ko achar (potato, cucumber, carrot, red onion, sesame and nigella seeds) and a soft drink.
Tickets for the masterclass cost £35 and include a welcome drink, the momo-making session, the meal, and a mini jar of chilli sauce and tomato achar to take home.
