Make dumplings like a pro at this exclusive masterclass
Xi Home Dumplings Bay specialises in Northern Chinese dumplings from Dailan, the hometown of founder Wenjun Xiang, made with tender wrappers and juicy fillings like jade lobster, pork with Chinese leaves, cuttlefish, chicken with mushroom, and beef with spring onion.
And now Wenjun Xiang, alongside Xi Home’s Head Chef Minnie Wang, are here to teach you how to make authentic dumplings at this exclusive dumpling making workshop at the Spitalfields restaurant. Following an introduction on the cultural importance of dumplings, you’ll roll up your sleeves and learn how to make the fillings and wrap the dumplings using traditional folding techniques. Then you’ll get to taste your handiwork as your dumplings will be cooked for you to eat at the end of the class alongside various garnishes and dipping sauces.
Tickets for the masterclass cost £40 and include the dumpling making session, a complimentary drink, the meal, and a certificate and Xi Home apron to take home.
