The Haberdashery is out in Stokey and Leaf & Wild is in, and with a bright blue exterior you won’t have any trouble spotting it on Stoke Newington High Street. The new cafe is serving up breakfast and lunch, and as well as doing classics like fry-ups, eggs royale, eggs benedict, beef and veggie burgers, they’ve got a Middle Eastern influence running through the menu too. That means you can also get dishes like smashed pumpkin with beet hummus & goat’s cheese; scrambled turmeric tofu with shakshuka sauce; mezze platters with beet falafel, baba ganoush, dolma & tabbouleh; meatballs with lemon zest; pumpkin, burrata & preserved lemon salad; halloumi, quinoa & dried fig salad; and tahini shakshuka.
If you’re off the sauce (or just there first thing in the morning) you can get your teas, coffees and smoothies but there’s a nice little wine list with some skin contact bottles that are worth a look.
