week’s Londoner is Ella McWilliam who co-runs Full Fat, an East London boutique PR agency with three other partners and her lovely team. Working on all things lifestyle and entertainment including music festivals and big food and drink events like Street Feast and RumFest means Ella is always out and about, a social butterfly if you will! We managed to squeeze some words below…

So Ella tell us where do you live in London and why?

I live in Hackney with two of my bestest and have done pretty much since I moved to London five years ago. I love it and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else right now. There is something about the East London spirit, the constant flow of people and of course the infamous parties.

Oh we know all about your infamous parties…Your jobs means your big on festivals which ones will you be going to this year?

As soon as summer hits we’re on site many a weekend running the festival press offices. So far this year I’ve worked at The Great Escape, Wychwood and Parklife. Standon Calling is next then Way Out West in Gothenburg, Tauron Nowa Muzyka in Poland all coming up in August, Unknown in Croatia in September and the launch of The Rum Experience University in Spain plus RumFest in London. The rest of the team will be scattered around Italy, Croatia, Liverpool, Bristol and Herefordshire throughout the summer. It is hard graft but a lot of fun and you meet some of the most fascinating characters and lovely people along the way. I get a real kick out of seeing incredible events come to life so being on site is an absolutely pleasure. Even after five years I still get the pre-event butterflies and the buzz from seeing thousands of revellers having an amazing time.

And for pure fun…Glastonbury (the best place in the world) and Latitude as line-up is spectacular this year. Next year…Burning Man.

We’re so not jealous of your job or anything! But jeez you have stamina. What about London, which are your favourite festivals in the city?

Field Day is very fun particularly for the buzz it creates around East London and the afterparties. Found in Haggerston Park was really fun and I was pleasantly surprised how good the sound was. We’re also doing some work with Lovebox this year with a new project with Russian Standard Vodka we’re working towards. If you’re looking for some more foodie fests I cannot recommend Street Feast enough. The atmosphere is great, some very tasty food to hand and the pints of margaritas are delicious but exceptionally lethal. It is the perfect way to start the weekend.

Oh we’ve been on the receiving end of those margaritas! What about when you’re not working? Where can we stalk you out?

Eating pizza in Voodoo Rays, dancing on tables to Fleetwood Mac in the Marquis of Lansdowne and sipping Bloody Mary’s and/or pints on Broadway Market.

And finally what would your perfect day in London be?

London in the sun is the best. Jumping on my bike with a ton of cider, tunes and BBQ essentials, meeting friends in Clissold Park or if we’re looking for the party, London Fields. Then we’d end up in a pub on Broadway Market and inevitably dance till the sun comes up at some warehouse party….

A real life East London party girl as we live and breathe! If you want to check out more about what Ella does you can hit up the Full Fat website.
