Alright, Hoxton Radio. Steff is surrounded by beauty, glamour, style and luxury. Sounds like just what we need…this week’s LDNER is fashion and style presenter Stefanie Jones who features on Sky TV’s Fashion One and a presenter on
Where do you live in London and what do you love about that area?
I recently moved to Stratford in East London. For the past two years I’ve been based in Islington and decided to make the jump east…which has been the best decision! It’s so much fun exploring a new area, especially when there is so much to do! I’ve fallen in love with Wansted Flats which is a great spot for picnics, pubs and quirky little coffee shops…also I’m a big fan of the independent cinema Picture House, which offers an alternative screening experience, a must visit.
Tell us about what you do for a living…you sound just a little bit busy?
I present and produce fashion and entertainment content for both Hoxton Radio on a Friday for #Fashcast and for Fashion One TV on Sky. I create TV series and broadcast content following fashion weeks across the globe, trends and celebrity interviews. It’s manic, fast paced and high pressured but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I love always visiting new places and meeting new people so it’s the perfect career for me.
So you are part of the Hoxton Radio Fashion Show…
Yes, the show I host is called #Fashcast and features on Hoxton every Friday from 11am. It’s the perfect show to tune into to get ideas for what to do over the weekend and gives the listeners hints and tips of what’s going on around the globe with cool events and festivals. I mix fashion, events and lifestyle together to give listeners a show that’s content and idea packed with lots of insider knowledge on whats happening so your always kept up to date on what’s going on in London and abroad.
Whats been some of the best things you’ve worked on be it in TV or Radio?
Wow this is a tough question! I would say probably getting to interview celebrities. I’ve been extremely lucky and been able to interview some of the world’s most famous people, from rock god Alice Cooper, sporting legend Lewis Hamilton to queen of fashion Anna Wintour, I’ve been able to get the gossip from them all. I’ve had a few pinch me moments which don’t actually seem real at the time until I watch or listen back to whats just happened and then it hits me like woah…I was just voguing and practicing my blue steel look with Dermot O’Leary.
What would be your ‘perfect’ day in London?
Perfect day would have to be brunch at The Wolseley with Courtney Blackman from Forward PR planning and prepping for fashion week, picking outfits/items for future shoots with the team from Donna Ida at their Belgravia branch, spa treatment and serious pampering at The Rosewood Hotel in Holborn (I’m in love with everything there!) and finishing the day with dinner and drinks with friends at Chiltern Firehouse. Amazing!
