week’s Londoner is Miguel Gutierrez AKA The Nomad Barber. Living in London but travelling the world, cutting mops and restyling quiffs as he goes…

How long have you lived in London, where and why?

I’ve been in London for coming up to 6 years now, I started in north london by camden but quickly moved to Old st, I’ve lived around since. I moved down from Liverpool to pursue more things in my career as a barber.

Tell us more about the Nomad Barber, where did it start?

The Nomad Barber is a project which combines all the things I love. Film, barbering and travel. We travel the world discovering the different cultures of the barbershop. We’ve been filming since June 13th 2013. We now have a barbershop located at 54 hanbury street off brick lane with 3 of us working there.

You get to go to so many places, what’s been your FAVE place so far?

By far it has to be india, it’s a crazy crazy place with so much vibrancy, colours and amazing people. Travelling there is like no other place on earth.

You obvs know a thing or two about hair, what styles will be big this season?

I’m trying to push people away from the whole super slick parted look so ideally it’ll be become still quite classic looks but with more texture and matte finishes.

Finally what would your perfect day in London entail?

My perfect day begins with a coffee at one of the amazing please around east London. Then i’ll head up to Broadway Market and catch the morning vibes with breakfast, followed by a lazy day in the park with the sun and some cold guinness. Drinks in the pub at night obviously and a bit of dancing.
