For three days only, 6 Monmouth Street becomes ground zero for a beauty process that’s spent nearly three decades being done properly: liquid pigment, hand-poured onto terracotta tiles in Italy, baked for 24 hours, then hand-finished into powder.
That’s the process behind Laura Geller’s Baked collection. Until now, you could buy the results but never see them explained by the person who invented them. From 18–20 September, the American brand takes over a corner of Covent Garden for its first-ever UK retail event: part shop, part demonstration, part genuine chance to meet Laura Geller, who’s expected in store across all three days.
Expect personalised shade matching for the Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation (the product responsible for most of the brand’s following), gifts with purchase, and the kind of giveaways that make queuing worthwhile. Also worth knowing: since 2021, every campaign the brand has shot has cast women over 40. Not as a gimmick, as a point.
