L’ANTICA PIZZERIA DA MICHELE TO OPEN IN SOHO

L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele, aka the world’s best pizza (and the one seen in Eat Pray Love) is opening a second site in Soho. The Neapolitan pizza joint is taking over the Patisserie Valerie site on Old Compton Street, which had been going since WWII – sad times for the troubled chain, as this was the original location and was one of Soho’s best spots back in the day before the brand was sold.

The menu at L’Antica will include the Marita (half margherita, half marinara), the Truffle Mushroom (with fior di latte, white truffle cream, mushrooms and fresh shaved black truffle), the O’Cazone (pressed pork, salami, fior di latte and ricotta) and the Fried Pizza, which is essentially a fried version of the O’Cazone. We’re also expecting there to be some new creations on the Soho menu – although how you top a fried pizza is beyond us – so check back for more.

Opens Thurs 20th February 2020
