Westgate Street Market in London Fields has sort of being flying under the radar, compared to the always-rammed Netil Market just down the street anyway, but that’s all about to change as they’ve built up a mega line-up of traders. La Chingada, the Surrey Quays taco joint that’s turning out some of the best Mexican food in town, is the newest addition to the Saturday market saving all you East London peeps from having to trek down there on the Overground.
They’re joining the likes of pizza place Dough Hands, the Hot 4 U boys, who are cooking up the likes of beef & potato tartare, infinite leeks & beans, and builder’s tea Basque cheesecake; A Jolly Kitchen, which does a whole range of smoked salmon; and A Portuguese Love Affair, who are providing pastel de nata and hand-painted ceramics, with coffee, natty wine and music to keep you going too. Westgate is where it’s at.
