New Taiwanese Noodle Bar Kung Fu Mama Is Opening in Covent Garden

Chopsticks at the ready

Kung Fu Mama, an exciting new noodle bar, is set to open its doors in Covent Garden on 8th April. This new Taiwanese spot is the brainchild of Ottolenghi co-founder Noam Bar-Chang, and founder of Kung Fu Mama Retail Chris Hsu, who have teamed up to bring a fresh, health-conscious take on Taiwanese street food to the neighbourhood.

Located on Long Acre, Kung Fu Mama is designed for a speedy yet satisfying dining experience, with a cosy nine-seat interior plus an additional four seats outside. Whether you choose to dine in, grab a takeaway, or opt for local delivery, the menu promises a contemporary twist on authentic Taiwanese flavours, all crafted using Kung Fu Mama Retail’s signature sun-dried noodles.

Signature noodle bowls include tender chicken thighs in a fragrant ginger and sesame sauce, beef with a lightly spiced Sichuan pepper kick, and mapo tofu with spicy minced pork. Vegetarians and vegans are in for a treat too, with umami-packed portobello mushrooms in three-cup sauce and a plant-based bao burger created in partnership with Oh So Wholesome.

To celebrate its grand opening, Kung Fu Mama is offering a 50% discount on all food orders from 8th – 11th April, between 11AM – 3PM. With dishes priced between £5.75 and £11.25, this is the perfect opportunity to indulge in authentic Taiwanese flavours at half the cost!
