Kudu Is Swapping South London for Marylebone

Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams are taking their South African-inspired restaurant group central

After growing the Kudu Collective – which includes Kudu Peckham and events space Curious Kudu, both on Queen’s Road, and Kudu Grill in Nunhead – in south London over the last eight years, husband-and-wife team Amy and Patrick are consolidating the spaces and moving to Marylebone.

Opening on Moxon Street in September, the new Kudu will serve the same seasonal European-South African food across a new menu format, featuring brand new dishes as well as faves from across the other sites. The site will have a private dining room and bar area, with nods to traditional South African craftsmanship across the interior design. Many of the original team from Peckham will also be making the move over, so it should feel very familiar to Kudu regulars.

The Marylebone restaurant is slated to open in September with the Peckham and Nunhead restaurants closing in early August. Both south London spots will be running a limited-edition ‘Best of Kudu’ menu throughout July as a way of celebrating the standout dishes from the past eight years, including parmesan churros with miso mayo & smoked paprika and whole black bream with zhug butter roti.

Speaking about the move, chef patron Patrick says: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Kudu to central London – it’s something we’ve dreamed about for a long time. Peckham and Nunhead will always hold a special place in our hearts, but the move to a larger site with a bigger kitchen opens up so many exciting opportunities to share and celebrate our South African cuisine with our guests.”
