Kricket Is Opening an All Day Cafe and Bar in Shoreditch

It’ll be the first Kricket site to offer breakfast

After bringing a branch of Kricket to Canary Wharf, Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby are staying east for site number five and opening in Shoreditch, on the site where Apothecary East used to be. As well as operating as an 80-cover Kricket restaurant, the site will also be home to the brand’s first all-day cafeì and bar concept, and a private dining room that’ll also double as a workspace in the daytime.

The 50-cover cafeì will open at 8am, serving a breakfast menu featuring dishes like jaggery-glazed bacon chop with Andhra spiced hash brown & tamarind brown sauce, eggs kejriwal, Bombay toasties, chai and lassis. Then, street food-inspired dishes like kolhapuri bhel, mutton keema toasties, and prawn & cuttlefish koliwada will hit the all-day menu, with the bar pouring draught beers, whiskies and wine.

The main restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner all week long, with the Murgh Musallam menu centred around tandoori chicken, running on Sundays. With the Firebird team opening new spot Noisy Oyster in Shoreditch in the spring, it sounds like this corner of east London is gonna be the place to be.
