sure if they intended for their name to read as a shout but the music of John Kongos’ offspring awakens that need to roar at the top of your lungs like an auditionee for Britain’s next top hard rock band while punching the air with both hands so it works.

The four sleaze rock siblings make music that’s like a hard blow of rock n roll straight to the ear drums and they’re refreshingly unapologetic about it too. ‘I’m Only Joking’ is probably less swamp rock than the group’s previous offerings but still holds on to the stomping beats and downright grittiness associated with the genre. Put it this way, remember when BRMC released Spread Your Love and everyone started questioning why good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll ever got swept under the rug? Prepare to want to start looking under rugs again.
