It’s the final week of London Restaurant Festival and for the seventh year running American Express® card holders have been able to take advantage of some pretty special offers at restaurants across the city AND there’s still plenty to get involved in from restaurant tours to festival menus. We got stuck in last weekend for an epic lunch at Pierre Koffman’s at the 5 star Berkley Hotel where the legendary chef had designed a special menu ‘Inspired by London’.
Pierre himself was on hand to host the lunch and as you’d expect, the cooking was top notch, starting with a fresh avocado and crab salad and perfectly cooked sea bass fillets with crisp golden skin in a citrus broth. The main course was a British classic, Beef Wellington served with perfect triple cooked chips and dessert was tarte tatin, a nod to Pierre’s home country.
