years of preparation lead up to Black Lips finally touring the Middle East which saw them stop at various regions on route. Not, however without their problems. Several uprisings, a civil war, promoters in Jordan and Alexandria, Egypt backed out at the last minute because the band had played shows in Israel and a show in Erbil, Iraq had to be changed when an explicit video of the band was viewed by a government official. But you know all things comes good in the end right? And in this case it did with the shows in Alexandria and Erbil turned out to be highlights of the tour.

So what do you do when you are on tour in the Middle East…you make a movie! Kids Like You & Me: A Middle East Tour Film documents all the excitement as Black Lips get on the bus with their good friends, Lebanese indie rockers, Lazzy Lung.
