KFC IS LAUNCHING AN OMAKASE DINING EXPERIENCE

The fried chicken chain is turning Japanese for one day only in honour of its new burger creation

Omakase menus, where diners leave it up to the chefs to choose their dishes, have become pretty popular in London over the last few years, so much so that one of the nation’s biggest fast food chains is now getting in on the action. To celebrate the launch of its new Teriyaki Burger, KFC is creating its own omakase – or ‘Oh My KFC’ if you will – menu, available for one day only this August.

The Waterloo branch of KFC will be transformed into a Japanese omakase restaurant for the occasion, complete with elegant interiors and a Colonel’s Table. Chef Akito Greenland will be curating the menu, which includes chicken-centric Japanese-inspired dishes like KFC Yakitori with teriyaki-marinated Popcorn Chicken, Crispy Mini Fillet Nigiri with wasabi garlic buttermilk mayo, KFC Karaage with ponzu, and the new Teriyaki Burger.

Need fried chicken sushi in your life? Tickets for the KFC Omakase experience cost £11 (with 100% of the proceeds going towards the KFC Youth Foundation) and will be available to book here from 31st July – be quick because they’re sure to fly out.
