The new east London market will start trading on Saturdays in July
KERB is bringing even more street food to the city this summer by opening a brand new weekly market in Leyton. Pitching up on Francis Road on Saturdays from 10am – 4pm, the market will feature a rotating line-up of up to 20 indie street food traders and local produce stalls.
You’ll be able to grab Uzbek plov rice bowls from Oshpaz; beef birria tacos from Mexclub; karaage chicken and Japanese rice bowls from Banzai Kitchen; Vietnamese dishes from Hanoi Cà Phê; and Syrian sujak wraps from Utopia. The likes of Woodkin Mushrooms, Shedletskys, Land, Liv’s Baked Goodies, Fosse Meadows and Jones’ Crumpets will be there selling everything from pickles to artisan chocolate to ethically-sourced meats. Resident businesses on Francis Road will also be getting involved in the action, including Dreamhouse Records who’ll be on the decks.
Like KERB’s other lunch markets, the Leyton market will be supporting KERB’s social enterprise, which helps refugees and ex-offenders into employment as well with starting their own street food businesses, so you’ll be eating and shopping for a good cause.
