KERB COUNTER TO OPEN IN SHOREDITCH

They’re known for their street food markets all over town, including a huge permanent site in Seven Dials, and now the KERB team is adding another kitchen space to its collection with the launch of KERB Counter. Opening in Shoreditch, the bar and test kitchen will play host to collabs, pop-ups and residencies from a range of emerging food businesses, with the bar being used to develop new drinks and showcase a range of bevvies created in partnership with the likes of Gipsy Hill Brewing Co, East London Liquor Co, and Redemption Coffee. There’ll also be a focus on sustainability with a no straw policy, rewards for bringing reusable cups, and serving kegged wine from Bibendum.

The born-in-lockdown Hackney Wick BBQ spot From The Ashes is first up to the plate, taking over KERB Counter with a menu of Mexican-inspired barbecue dishes. Sharing dishes of short rib barbacoa and achiote celeriac, served with tortillas, pico de gallo and house-made pickles, will take centre stage, joined by cochinita pibil, lamb & anchovy with ‘pie liquor’ and crispy aubergine with chipotle & queso fresco tacos, sides and salsas. The main dining room will open Weds – Sat, so plan your visits accordingly if you wanna get in on the taco action, but the cafe will be open daily for coffee and light bites.

Opens Thurs 10th February 2022
