KENSINGTON & CHELSEA ART WEEK IS BACK THIS AUTUMN

Thanks to the pandemic many of the big art events of 2020, including Frieze Art Fair, have been cancelled but you don’t have to go completely without culture this October as Kensington & Chelsea Art Week is going ahead. The eleven-day festival will feature over 100 participants and span events, talks, installations, exhibitions and art trails throughout the borough.

Highlights of this year’s KCAW include a public art trail with pieces from Barnaby Barford, Toy Studio and Liz West; the Alphabetti Spaghetti installation from Alex Chinneck; Art in Windows, where exhibitions are placed in store windows along King’s Road and Kensington High Street; Love Kensington + Chelsea Hoardings featuring murals on construction boards in unusual locations; a CW+ collaboration with Yinka Ilori; and a COVID-19 legacy installation project at West Middlesex University Hospital to mark the effects of the pandemic.
