Swamps are no match for decent music and although we’re still recovering, it was worth testing and proving this theory correct at Kendal Calling 2019. Musical highlights included getting wild at the mosh pit at Slowthai, Singing/screaming along to an incredibly tight set from Doves and that bit to the side of the stage that was playing a remix of Dolly Parton’s Jolene at 2am on Sunday.
The food and drink offerings were outstanding as per. We feasted mainly on giant buckets of hummus and chips and we wrapped up the weekend with a set from The Lancashire Hotpots (as tradition dictates) and a final trip around the Jurassic Park themed grounds. With a cinema, live podcasts and even a free to play church organ going on in the background, Kendal Calling was (much as the theme would suggest) …JURASSIC PARK!
